That are plants which have nothing to do with our fuchsia gardenhobby. Often it goes then about a plant with flowers that has the tubular form of the fuchsia species F. triphylla. On the website  'The Plant Press - Dictionary of Common Names' there stands a whole list with plants, who have in their common name the indication 'Fuchsia'. Many of that plants are been found in America, Australia or Africa and they thank their common name to the original population (the natives). In the collections of our Dutch fuchsia-lovers occur only two of the list in the website named above, namely Fuchsia Begonia and Cape Fuchsia. They are in the Netherlands better known under the latin name'Begonia fuchsioides' and 'Phygelius'.
