Fuchsia Gum or Fuchsia Mallee

Between the many species of the Australian and New-Sealand plantsgroup Eucalyptus belongs also the variety Eucalyptus forrestiana. This one has in those countries the common name Fuchsia Gum and becomes there also named  Fuchsia Mallee. By its rich flowering in those countries it is there a very favorite tree.

It is a not-leaves loosing tree which grow out till a height of 6.00 m and a wide of 3.00 m. Its bark is grey or brown. Leaves are lanceolate and darkgreen of colour. The flowers are red and yellow and they are flowering from midsummer till in the autumn. The tree grows well in poor soil with a high grade of alkali. and grows well in an environs with little rain, desires a sunny standing-place and isn't fully hardy (USDA-zone 8 - 10).

From this Eucalyptus there is also made an Australian Bush Flowers Essence,  a homeopathic remedy with 'Healing Nature' and 'Spiritual Qualities'. The appellation 'Freedom from Claustrophobia' of this remedy indicates that this stuff is used by people who are incommoded by claustrophobia.
