Stamps with fuchsias on the internet

To Dutch version

This year published jubilee stamp 'Neu Kreuterbuch' on the site of a German fuchsia society get into my head to look after wath stamps with images of fuchsias  are to trace via internet.

This jubilee stamp shows a picture of an unknown plant outof the 'Neu Kreuterbuch' and don't belong to the collected stamps with pictures of fuchsias on this website. The stamp is published this year on the occasion of the fact that 500 years ago Leonhart Fuchs in Wemding saw the light. This medical scienser kept himself also busy with botany and his most important botanical piece of work is the 'Neu Kreuterbuch', a work that him delivers the surname of 'father of the botany'. The fuchsia however doesn't occur in that book seeing that this plant wasn't discovered before 1700 by Plumier for the first time. As homage to Fuchs he named this plant after him and this Fuchsia triphylla coccinea is the first one of a large group relative fuchsia species and cultivars.

Indeed, in comparison with the other stamps in the series you can see that here the printer has commit a badly mistake and he has mounted the image on the head.
